At Glory Community Development & Environmental Conservation (GCDEC), we believe that a healthy environment is fundamental to the well-being and prosperity of our communities. Our environmental conservation initiatives are designed to protect and restore natural ecosystems, promote sustainable practices, and empower communities to become stewards of their own environment.
Problem We Solve
Environmental Degradation
We tackle issues related to environmental degradation, such as pollution, deforestation, and loss of biodiversity. Our initiatives, like the Clean Nairobi River Initiative and Tree Planting Campaign, directly address these challenges by restoring ecological health, enhancing local ecosystems, and promoting greener urban environments.
Lack of Environmental Awareness
A significant barrier to environmental conservation is the lack of awareness and education among communities. Through our various projects, we empower and educate communities about sustainable practices and the importance of environmental stewardship, thereby fostering a culture of conservation and responsibility.
Youth Unemployment in Agriculture
The agricultural sector faces challenges such as youth disengagement and unemployment. Our Youth Involvement in Sustainable Agriculture project addresses this by creating job opportunities, promoting youth engagement in agriculture, and facilitating knowledge transfer to the younger generation.
Knowledge Gap in Sustainable Farming
There is a gap in the dissemination of knowledge and strategies for sustainable farming. Our Knowledge Repository for Organic Agriculture project focuses on collecting and sharing comprehensive agricultural knowledge, networking within agricultural value chains, and advocating for policy development to support organic farming practices.
Projects Done
GCDEC is dedicated to addressing these problems through targeted, impactful initiatives that promote environmental conservation and sustainable development. Join us in our mission to create a healthier, more sustainable environment for all.

Our Approaches
Community Empowerment
We work closely with local communities to build their capacity for environmental conservation. Through training and educational programs, we equip community members with the knowledge and skills needed to protect and restore their natural environment.
Sustainable Practices
Our initiatives promote sustainable practices that balance economic viability with ecological health. This includes advocating for organic farming, reforestation, and the responsible use of natural resources.
Policy Advocacy
We collaborate with stakeholders to advocate for stronger environmental policies and sustainable development frameworks. Our goal is to ensure that environmental conservation is prioritized at both local and national levels.
We integrate conservation of natural resources with development efforts to overcome poverty, hunger, and disease
